We recently launched our Careers in Oil and Gas Explorer, a web-based tool that allows those in the oil and gas industry, and those who are considering a career in it, to browse, search, sort and compare occupations. Visitors can also explore the qualifications, skills, training and behaviours required for select careers. Employees can plan advancements or transferability paths through different fields or industry sectors. This project involves two years of research and is truly a one-of-a-kind web tool that provides insight into over 100 different professions.
The Governments of Canada, British Columbia and Alberta are supporting the tool’s development. But now we need your help crossing the finish line. We require assistance from subject matter experts to participate in our research, which needs to be completed by the end of February. The survey only takes about 20-minutes to complete. We are looking for those who work, or who have worked, as the following:
Business and Operations Support
- Energy Trader (North America)
- Land Surveyor (Licensed)
- Mineral Land Professional
- Surface Land Professional
Technicians and Technologists
- Non-Destructive Tester and Inspection Technician
- Surveying and Geomatics Technologist
- Warehouse Technician
We are pleased to provide a letter of acknowledgement or LinkedIn recommendation for those who volunteer to help out.
